Dave has over 25 years’ experience working in the heritage sector, both in the UK and overseas. Dave gained an MSc with distinction in Geoarchaeology in 2000 and completed his Ph.D on Roman Butrint, southern Albania in 2003. Dave is currently an Honorary lecturer in the School of Environmental Sciences, University of East Anglia and has published widely on geoarchaeology and archaeological geophysics. Key research interests include alluvial environmental histories, deposit modelling and the development of process-based models of landscape change, the use of GIS in predictive modelling and geophysics over deeply stratified sites. Recent projects include working on large saltmarsh vegetation comparisons across two different data sets to determine changes within estuaries in East Anglia over a 20-year period.
